PAUL RUSSELL is the author of seven novels—The Salt Point (1991), Boys of Life (1992), Sea of Tranquillity (1994), The Coming Storm (1999), War Against the Animals (2003), The Unreal Life of Sergey Nabokov (2012), and Immaculate Blue (2015)—as well as a work of nonfiction, The Gay 100: A Ranking of the Most Influential Gay Men and Lesbians, Past and Present (1995). His poetry, essays and short fiction have appeared in such journals and anthologies as Epoch, Carolina Quarterly, The James White Review, The Black Warrior Review, Sou’wester, Lumina, Men on Men 4, The Mammoth Book of New Gay Erotica, Queer 13, and Gastronomica. A professor of English at Vassar College, he is two-time winner of the Ferro-Grumley Award for LGBT fiction.
